On Sunday, 10/7, I was honored with the Best in Show-2D award at the Festifall Arts Festival in Chapel Hill, NC. I am deeply humbled and incredibly grateful!

I am humbled and excited to announce that I am one of fifteen artists that received a professional artist grant from the United Arts Council! Thank you! I have so much to be grateful for.

I am thrilled to be part of the upcoming Festifall in Chapel Hill on 10/7! Sadly, Centerfest in Durham that was to happen on 9/15-9/16 was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence. The good news…I will have even more work for this event! Please stop by to say hello and purchase a piece from my newest collection.

Reflecting on the summer which has quickly come to a close. The birth of my 2nd child, a solo exhibition, a group exhibition, taught some fun classes, work featured on national TV and participated in a super cool event at the art museum. I am beyond grateful for all of these experiences and opportunities. Thank you for the support & interest in my work. I can’t wait to see what Fall will bring!

I am thrilled be part of the 2018 Monster Drawing Rally at the North Carolina Museum of Art! Join me and 70 talented local artists for this fun and one of a kind event 8/23! 

My next festival will be Centerfest in Durham, NC in September. I will be busy over the next month preparing lots of work for this event. My larger work will still be on exhibition just a short stroll away in the Durham Arts council building! Stop by to purchase some art and enjoy downtown Durham. 

I have 8 new works making their debut on Friday, August 3rd at Artspace Raleigh as part of a group showing in the hallways and corridors of the building. Check out my social media for reception details. 

I am thrilled to have 20 pieces hanging in my solo exhibition M.E. at the Durham Arts Council Seamans Gallery. The exhibition will run until mid September. The opening reception was held on Friday July 20th. Thank you to all that attended. I will be back in Durham for Centerfest just a couple of days before the show closes. 

I've taken a little time away from posting my art news over the spring and summer. The reason is because we welcomed this little one in May! I've stayed quite busy inside and outside of the studio and wanted to take some time away from posting. I am catching up and have lots of exciting art news to share!

I am thrilled to be part of the community exhibition program this January and February sponsored by the Visual Art Exchange (VAE) in Raleigh.  Please join me for a reception showcasing my recent work on 2/2 from 6-9pm  at Hagersmith Design. All work is for sale with a portion of profits donated to the Visual Art Exchange. 

I have just returned from this glorious place, Penland School of Crafts located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I spent a week as a winter resident in the painting studio among very talented artists. I am excited to share the work I created while there soon! Stay tuned for an upcoming exhibition annoucement for Friday, February 2nd as part of Downtown Raleigh's First Friday. 

Meet Meredith Cantrell of Go Realty. Meredith and I have teamed up to bring attention to the importance of supporting local artists. Meredith donates a portion of all closings to the Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, NC.  Meredith has been very supportive of my artistic journey. I am thrilled to announce that I have been accepted to be part of Penland School of Crafts Winter Residency program! I will spend a week in January intensively working on new concepts. I'm looking forward to sharing the new work with all of you!

I am thrilled to partner with Church on Morgan for my upcoming solo exhibition, COLLECTIVE. Please join me for the opening reception Friday, October 6, 6:30-8:30pm. I will be holding a brief artist talk to discuss the cencept of the work, followed by a brief Q/A session. 

News! I am excited to announce a large body of my work has been commissioned by the soon to be opened Spa Retreat Cary!  Stay tuned for additional details! *UPDATE* The spa is now open and houses over 20 pieces of original work. It was a pleasure working on this project. Go check them out! 

I am excited to announce that Susie Silver Art will be part of the Summer Shop opening May 13th!
